Moving On

Well, I’ll be moving soon, though not that soon, and not far. My roommate, Mike, asked his girlfriend to marry him tonight, and she said yes, so they are now engaged. I live in Mike’s house, so I’m now officially hunting for an apartment. Somewhere in Old Town would be nice. Doesn’t have to be large, a studio would be nice…not that there are that many in Fort Collins.

I’m very, very happy for my flatmate (I’ll switch to that term, which makes more sense anyway), for my friend. He’s a great guy, and deserves it.

As for myself, no idea. I’m not in a rush to get married, as I don’t feel I ‘need’ to be married, and I’d like to enjoy the process of dating. Plus, I just have no idea whether it’ll ever happen or not. But hey, I have friends, and am working on just caring about people, and I’m convinced my life will be meaningful no matter the path I walk. After all, it’s about loving people. Idols can get in the way of love though, idols like money, comfort, and girls, at least anytime I look at these things to define me, and hey, I admit I don’t look to God consistently for my identity, but I’m learning and growing, and sensing God’s love on this journey.

Tonight, I’ll enjoy the extra hour of sleep, and be happy for Mike. Congrats!
