Seth’s World View

Went to a great concert on Friday at Everyday Joe’s Coffee House. The Paste Tour stopped by, with Sandra McCracken, Katie Herzig, Jeremy Lister, and Matthew Perryman Jones. It was sweet.

On Saturday, drove to Denver for a Swing Dance workshop with Dan & Tiff at the Mercury Cafe. A semi jacknifed on the highway and forced traffic to diverge (it was snowing and icy), so I was 1/2 late to my lesson (but was there for the remaining 3.5 hours). As I left, I talked with my VQ friend Morgan a bit on the phone, and thought I would give another VQ friend, Stephanie, a ring. I did, and told her I was in Denver, heading back. She then invites me over to her birthday party, and it turns out I was only 10 minutes away, so, I did the spontaneous thing and partied till 8pm. Driving back, it was icy. Once I got onto 92nd, I watched as the trucks in front of me swirved on the black ice, and there was at least one time where I thought I was going to lose control, and, well, wreck my car again. Once I got onto the highway, all was well.

I awoke this morning, or as I was lying in bed contemplating waking up, I briefly debating whether I really wanted to go to the 9am service. It then dawned on me I was on coffee duty this morning, and thus got up immediately and drove off. Darren (the pastor) was great today, it really spoke to my heart…and I got to help with a sermon illustration:) Had Easter brunch as the Hess household with friends. Was a good time to just ‘be.’ And the food was good too!

Took a nap this afternoon. Didn’t really sleep though. Spent time thinking about all the realizations I’m having lately. Now I sit on the couch typing on my laptop, contemplating starting my Bible study and whether I want to do any work tonight. Perhaps.
