To Copper Mountain

I moved to Colorado back in August of 99. I was gone a year (which included some time in New Zealand), and have been here ever since, and have never skied. The problem is, when people think of Colorado, they thinking of skiing. And to not ski, well, is almost not to live. My friend Missy invited me to ski this past weekend. It’s not the first time I’ve been invited, but this time, I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and it was good. We left early Saturday morning, and as we were going up the lift, met a guy named Sam and his sister. Turns out we all had a fair amount in common, and Sam decided to help us get the hang of skiing, and he was very helpful and encouraging. Also had a good time getting to know Missy, who is in my small group. All in all, a terrific day. I feel like I’m in a special club now, those who ski, and I look forward to more, even though I fell 1000 times:)

Most things are just good, and I’m optimistic. There are still some challenges in my life, things to overcome, ways to change, but I feel more trusting in God than I have in awhile, and more ready to stand on truth. Work is good time, lots to be optimistic about there. Am going dancing this weekend. There are mountains to be conquered, and I’m ready to start.
