The Sleeper
Just want to sleep
So night will end
And no longer I pretend
To be a strong tree
Reaching for the sky
As age circles around life
Without knowing a wife
My shallow roots thirst
Desperate for even muddy water
Or a glimpse of heaven below
Any reason to awaken the
Dream that lives within
