Cuba Carnival

The largest street festival in New Zealand has come and gone. Taking place the last weekend of February, it involved a night of movies on Friday, followed by two full days of music and a general street festival atmosphere. It’s one of the better festivals I’ve been too, in terms of diversity. They had music for every taste. Unfortunately, Saturday is was basically rained out. I enjoyed some Samba, and the weather cleared up for the parade, though I was sitting dry at home watching Rudy at that point. On Sunday, the rain disappeared and the sun shined! Listend to some acoustic, blues, Japanese drumming, rock, and some reggae/electronic stuff. All very cool.
