A violent reaction, in a moment
reveals the frustration of a life
lived to the end of its rope
ready to be thrown overboard
looking down to the inevitable
beginning of a new journey
past all you can’t leave behind
crying out to a god you can’t see
you can’t here, you can’t believe in
you can’t deny, you won’t let go
