Seth’s World View

Alas

I could make a lot of money if I learned to program. Yesterday was spent trying to understand Visual Basic for use in Microsoft Access. By the end of the day, I reaffirmed I have no interest in learning to program, or advance much with computers in general. Thing is, I’m smart enough to comprehend computers, but the interest just isn’t there, and money is only marginally important to me.

It seems no matter how strongly I devote myself to a goal, I can’t maintain focus. What is of importance to me right now is character and victory over sin, and the only real way to improve that is to keep my eyes on Jesus, and Him alone. When I stop reading the truth of His Word on a daily basis, when I allow thoughts about my needs to overshadow everything else, I fall short and wallow in mediocrity. It’s hard to focus my thoughts on truth every day, takes too much discipline.

Alas, poor Seth, I knew him not…
