Editorial:
My website is up!!! Go to http://dupre.thunderbeach.net and check it out! As you can see, I also have an additional e-mail address. Use any e-mail address you want, they’ll all get to me. There are still a few portions of the website that need finished, but it’s good enough for now. A website is a constantly evolving creature.
It is now easier than ever to reach me. Why’s that? Call my cell phone at 970-420-0855, anywhere, anytime.
I’ll be flying into Baltimore on September 8th for Joel Giovannetti’s wedding on the 16th in Lebanon, PA, then flying out of DC on the 18th (unless work changes things). My plan is to see as many of you (those who live within a couple hours of Harrisburg) as possible in that time frame. See you later…

Current Events:
Has it only been a month? I’ll do my best to remember all the events this past month. On July 4th, I ran the Firecracker 5K, finishing at around 24 minutes. Later that day, I volunteered for the Family Center at Camp Collins. After taking a short nap, I then walked to two different parties. The day ended with a marvelous fireworks display.
Did the Old Town Gallery Walk on the 6th with some friends. Went to the Rock on the 7th, 14th, and 21st. Played Laser Tag (came in 2nd of 10) and Mini-Golf (came in last) one night after the Rock (14th).
On the weekend of the 20-22, saw Public Domain (the Rock Band) play in Old Town Square on Friday, went to Jay and Celia’s wedding on Saturday (followed by Rock Artists meeting, Rock and coffeehouse). Sunday ran 8 miles with friends in training for half-marathon, then went to Colorado Springs to see Joe and Kristin Sokolowski, who were visiting there. It was really good to see Joe again (former college roommate and Erie-ite).
This past weekend, joined my current roommate Jerry and his church group, the Tool Room (a gen-x church), for a camping excursion up in Red Feather. It was a wonderful time to relax and get to know some brothers and sisters.

I’ve had a real passion for art and artists the past 4-5 years. That desire has only grown in recent times. After not really being in leadership since my Junior year of college, I am now entrusted with the Art Ministry at the Rock. Though it’s scope is fairly limited right now, it has the potential to grow in many ways, and my role is simply to listen and be faithful. I’m thankful to Sherry for her faithfulness in getting it off the ground.
Speaking of art, if you haven’t heard Nate and James CD, go to their website, www.nateandjames.com. It’s good stuff, from two awesome guys. I’m hoping they’ll be able to make it out to Colorado. We’ll see what happens. For you Colorado residents, Caedmon’s Call will be somewhere in Colorado, and Bebo will return to Fort Collins, in October.

Reflections:
This month has been a whirlwind of activity, and it looks as though that’s not going to change anytime soon. Honestly, I’m enjoying it, cause I feel alive. It means I’m building relationships, it means I’m creating. You have no idea how big an outlet my website is for me. It is a funnel for my need to create, to express. I’m now finding other avenues of expression as well, and it’s rather exciting. Overall, I’m just really thankful. I’ve had hard times. I’m having good times now. Good or bad, I put my trust in something greater than myself, in God, and in Him I rest.

I’m really amazed at everything that has transpired in my life this past month, both internally and externally. I can’t explain any of it really (hence my thankfulness). That’s not to say everything is perfect, or that I am everything I need to be, but life is enough, it’s what it needs to be. More maturity will come in time, and some of it never will, yet life will go on, and I’ll go on learning, growing, living. I’m one of those people who doesn’t desire to retire, it sounds too dull to me. Instead, I want to do meaningful work or service till the day I die, to keep moving till I can move no more, to be culturally relevant when I’m 80, to run a 5K when I’m 90.

So, no really deep thoughts this month. I’m just joyful. I also feel for those of you who are having a rough time? I’ve struggled with enough things in my lifetime to empathize to some degree. If any of you have any prayer requests, let me know, and I’ll seek to be diligent in taking them to God. There will be times when life is easy, and when life is hard. I just hope my attitude is such that I don’t really notice the difference.
