In two days, another notch is carved in the wall
And I face the reality of my reflection
Too much, too different from the expected
Could cry, but my heart is empty of blood
As nothing but cold air runs my veins

The agony of the independent soul
who longs for embrace but denies pain.

Seers like an iron, hot to the touch,
it breaks apart the phony image.

Left naked for all to laugh at,
no smile goes your way, only contempt.

Struck across the face and cry softly,
lest they hear and heap pity upon you.

This is the day of bitter’s end.

Circumstances
A twist of the compass is all
and the mansion turns into a shack
Full of promise but desolate of life
To choose a picture that flourishes
or believe what the senses assert
Is the difference tween joy and sorrow
