In God’s Garden
I hope, I pray, for dependence
day, when I die, and rely,
solely on Him. Mountains
invade my space, peek up from the ground
as I gaze toward the sky…
They cannot be moved.
Nor can I climb.
All I have is belief, and little
of it, just a grain of sand…
Yet it lies upon a rock, higher
than all the rest. No horizon
is [...]
Eyes of a Child
Awake in wonder, I wander
around, excited at the love
lost to common man.
Only now aware, awestruck
at the simplistic beauty of
the universe, it calls to me,
whispering sweet shadows,
highlights to add color.
Especially on faces, in all places,
a questioned gaze or captured
thought, framing life.
